The world’s top companies have been announced in a report which looks at which brands are the most valuable. 

BrandZ, a global brand valuation company, has released its ‘Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands 2019’ which has seen Amazon top the list with a valuation of $315.5 billion. Ending the reign of Google and Apple which began in 2007.

Apple came in second with $309.5 billion and Google third with $309 billion.

The top category for growth has been Luxury Brands which has outpaced all other categories this year with a growth of 29%.

French fashion house Louis Vuitton has topped the list as 2019’s most valuable luxury brand with a worth of $47.2 billion, up from $41.1 billion in 2018. 

Other luxury brands making the list include Chanel with $37 billion, Hermes with $30 billion and Gucci with $25.2 billion. 

Instagram, the photo sharing site owned by Facebook, almost doubled in value, rising 95% year-on- year to become the fastest-rising brand in the report.

The presence of Asian brands in the report has increased with four Chinese brands and two Indian brands joining the list. 

The BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands 2019 list has seen the valuation total rise 7% to $4.7 trillion in 2019.
