JetSmarter has been named the “Uber for private jets” and has recently been backed by Jay-Z raising $105 Million USD in funding.

JetSmarter currently stands at a $1.5 billion USD pre-money valuation, saying the $105 Million USD the company has raised will be used to expand into Latin American and Asian markets.  Sergey Petrossov who is the founder and CEO of JetSmarter says the recent funding will be used to “increase the number of routes and flights” available to the U.S.- based users of the service.

JetSmarter allows it’s customers to book a single seat or charter the entire private jet. The recent funding has attracted the investment of some big names, including Jay-Z and the Saudi Royal Family, which has also spiked original investors interests enough for some to increase their investments.
